CONCORD — Concord-Carlisle High School senior Laiya Pavlov, who traveled to Malaysia during her junior year as part of the Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study Program, was recently featured on WCVB’s “High 5” segment.
In its feature, Channel 5 highlights students doing impressive things in their community.
“This program was created after 9/11 to really mend relationships that could have been broken,” Laiya said. “It’s an opportunity for high school students to get to know a different culture, to share more about our own cultures here, and then come back and share with our communities.”
